Lily Sarosi is a filmmaker, teacher, archivist, and projectionist originally from Los Angeles, California. She graduated from Hampshire College with a BA in critical media studies and filmmaking. Her films explore themes of monstrosity, queerness, heartbreak, sexual trauma and grieving. She is fiercely commited to researching and creating liberatory media for survivors of sexual violence. Collaboration is at the heart of her artistic practice as a way to make resistant media. She enjoys working with children of all ages and empowering them to tell their stories through filmmaking. Lily provides a unique mix of theory, practice, and pedagogy to her classes because of her diverse engagements with cinema.
